South London Gallery
The South London Gallery is an internationally acclaimed contemporary art space which has been free to the public since its foundation in 1891. Contemporary art exhibitions are shown in the beautiful Victorian gallery space on the ground floor, alongside smaller shows in the first floor galleries.
For the next phase of its development the SLG plans to expand into the former Peckham Road Fire Station, transforming it into a cultural centre which will be an annexe to the SLG’s main site and open to the public in 2018. The SLG also has an award winning café No67, as well as beautiful outdoor spaces including a permanent garden designed by artist Gabriel Orozco.
